I began my foray into strength and conditioning while serving on active duty in the Marine Corps from 2004-2009. There I was exposed to both CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting. As a coach I always enjoy having to find new ways to teach athletes. In CrossFit there is a community model very similar to the military and I enjoy the bare bones aspect of fitness. In Weightlifting, the competitive nature of the sport keeps me constantly evolving the ways that I develop athletes.
