One of the hardest things to do in life is taking the next step when you’re down. Life has a way to know how to throw the hardest test at you when you are most vulnerable. We’ve heard the saying, “When it rains, it pours”.
I was close. I was very close to quitting on being the owner of CrossFit Be Someone. I’ve been tested a lot in my life but not like 2017. There were a lot of personal issues I was dealing with and I found myself on the edge. If y’all recall, I was not at the gym for a good 6 weeks in November and early part of December. During that time frame I was preparing myself on turning the page and moving on from the gym. I was very close to quitting.
I was fortunate to have such great friends and family around me that help me through that time but honestly, I was fortunate to have you all. As bad as I wanted to quit, I could not do that to y’all. I knew y’all deserved nothing but the best and that’s what I always wanted to give y’all. It kept a small flame burning in me and I was able to reignite that flame and return back to the gym.
Point is this, I understand times can get very tough, but never quit on yourself. Never take the easy road. Never surrender your vision. There’s a quote that states, “Pain is temporary, quitting is permanent”. We don’t like pain because it’s uncomfortable but you grow from it. You become better from it. You achieve greatness from it and if you decide to quit, you’ll never be the greatest version of yourself.
You’re not a quitter, you’re a badass so always take the next step no matter how difficult it may seem. And always remember this, you have us in your corner!
