Let's not confuse CrossFit with the CrossFit Games.
CrossFit focuses on the methodology. It focuses on proper movement mechanics. It focuses on challenging body positions to improve flexibility and strength for the long run. It focuses on building a hedge on your life.
CrossFit Games is the sport of CrossFit. They focus on winning an event and overall games. They are willing to risk poor movement patterns if it leads to a higher finish on the podium. They train and eat at a volume that is not sustainable.
When people speak about CrossFit, many of them think that what we do at CrossFit Be Someone is the CrossFit Games. We don't.
We speak on intensity being relative. Meaning your intensity each day at the gym will be dependent on where you are psychologically and physically. We speak on chasing stimulus versus RX because we want you to receive the adaptation of the workout instead of beating yourself down by doing certain weights or movements you are not ready for yet. We scale you and provide you feedback on your mechanics to help you move better which leads to less stress on your joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. We focus most days on just one workout so you are not overtrained and can give that specific workout your best effort and focus.
I can tell you with certainty, how we run CrossFit Be Someone is how CrossFit is meant to be run regarding the delivery of the CrossFit methodology.
Remember let's not confuse CrossFit with the CrossFit Games. I love watching the games and they are extremely entertaining, but it is the sport of CrossFit. It's 100% different from the methodology.
