I get coached just like all of you.
I go through the general warm up, specific warm up, teaser, workout and cool down.
I know exactly how it feels to be told to "squat lower'' or "push your knees out" or "stay at that weight for now".
Just because I own CrossFit Be Someone and I am a coach, does not mean I am an excluded from being coached.
So I get it. There are days where you don't want to get feedback from coach but the reason why a coach is providing feedback is because they care.
They care about you moving well. They care about you getting to your goals. They care about your overall well being.
I've been in class where I have a lot on my mind or I am feeling stressed out. The last thing I want to hear is coaching telling me to "keep the bar close" but when I have a lot on my mind, that means I am not focused on how I am moving.
This can lead to me getting hurt because there is no mind to muscle connection. This is when I need coach the most to keep me moving efficient.
Your coach is in your corner when they are coaching you. They want to help you and will always help you when they see you.
Respectfully,
Josh Melendez
