I care about you as a person.
I care about you as an athlete.
I care about you being the best version of yourself.
I care about you reaching your goals.
I care about you becoming healthier and fitter.
I care about you still kicking ass in your 90’s.
But…
Don’t like running? Don’t like burpees? Don’t like snatches? Don’t like overhead squats? Don't like double unders? Don’t like heavy only days?
You still need it and need to actually do it.
For that I’m sorry but not sorry.
My job as a coach is to find your limitations and remove them so I can help you maximize your fitness. My job as a coach is to challenge you and make you get uncomfortable because that is how we grow as athletes but more importantly, as people.
I am required to give you what you need not just what you want. If I only gave you what you want, then I am truly not helping you. Now as your coach, I will meet you where you are based on your phycological and physical tolerance. If you’re injured or not feeling well, I will modify for you.
Yes I want to build a gym where you feel happy to be and comfortable but ultimately I must build a gym that actually helps. I must build a gym that produces true lasting results for you.
Respectfully Sent,
Josh Melendez
