The Truth About Results: Consistency in the Gym and Nutrition

At CrossFit Be Someone, we don’t sugarcoat the truth. If you want real, meaningful results, consistency in the gym and with your nutrition is the only way to get there. It’s why we preach this daily. It’s why we ask you how many times you’ve trained this week. It’s why we want to know what you’ve been eating. Because at the end of the day, results aren’t about finding the perfect supplement, hopping on the latest fad diet, or searching for a shortcut. They come from consistently doing the basics, day in and day out.

Clearing Up the Confusion

The internet and social media make fitness and nutrition seem more complicated than they are. Every day, there’s a new diet, a new workout program, or some magic pill promising rapid results. The problem? None of them address the real issue—your consistency.

As your coaches, our job is to cut through the noise and provide you with clear, honest guidance. But that requires honesty from you as well. Are you really sticking to your plan, or are you just saying what you think we want to hear? Are you consistently showing up to train, or are you skipping workouts and hoping for results anyway?

Honesty and Accountability

Having a real moment with yourself is the first step. If you aren’t honest about your level of commitment, you won’t see the progress you want. It’s easy to say, “I eat pretty well,” or “I come to the gym often.” But what does that actually mean?

This is why tracking matters. Guessing your way to results doesn’t work. We use PushPress to track your attendance and workout results, giving us insight into how often you train and how you’re progressing. Are you using it? Are you seeing trends in your performance? If you aren’t tracking, how do you know if you’re actually improving?

The same principle applies to nutrition. Are you tracking what you eat? You don’t have to count every calorie, but keeping a food log—whether in an app, with pictures, or just in your phone’s notes—helps you see patterns and stay accountable. It’s one thing to say you’re eating well, but another to actually do it consistently.

The Boring but Effective Truth

The basics are what work. And truthfully, many people find them boring. They want something new, something exciting, something different. But results come from doing the simple things over and over again.

None of this is flashy, but it works. Supplements won’t save you. A trendy new diet won’t fix a lack of consistency. A specialized training program won’t help if you’re only following it half the time.

Are You Doing the Work?

Ask yourself honestly: are you truly putting in the work, or are you expecting results without full commitment? The best athletes, the strongest members, and the ones who transform their fitness all have one thing in common—they show up consistently and execute the basics without excuses.

If you need help, that’s what we’re here for. But you have to meet us halfway. You have to show up. You have to put in the effort. You have to be honest with yourself and with us.

At CrossFit Be Someone, we believe in your potential, but belief alone won’t get you results. Hard work and consistency will. Stick to the plan, trust the process, and watch your progress unfold.
